September 15, 2017 Lions drop fifth straight in series against Catawba The Lions were handed their fifth consecutive loss at the hands of the visiting Catawba Indians Friday evening in Stanford Arena by a score of 3-1.  Four Lions' players had 10 or more kills in the match.
September 9, 2017 Lions downed in four sets by Eagles The Mars Hill Lions fell behind early to the visiting Carson-Newman Eagles, losing 3-1 (23-25, 14-25, 25-15, 20-25) Saturday afternoon in Stanford Arena.  Sally Anne Johnson led the Lions offense with 11 kills.  She also added four blocks (1 BS, 3 BA).
September 7, 2017 Lions fall in five sets to conference rival Lincoln Memorial The Mars Hill Lions valiantly battled in their home opening loss (25-22, 17-25, 20-25, 25-23, 7-15) against Lincoln Memorial in Stanford Arena Thursday night.  Rebecca Butler led the Lions with 16 kills.
September 5, 2017 Johnson named to All-Tournament team Sally Anne Johnson was named to the LMU Volleyball Tournament All-Tournament team earlier this week.  Johnson led the Lions with 28 kills in three contests.
September 2, 2017 Lions comeback bid falls short against Lee The Lions fell to the Lee University Flames Saturday morning, 3-1 (17-25, 23-25, 25-22, 21-25) to start Day Two of the Lincoln Memorial University Tournament.  Sally Anne Johnson led the team with eleven kills.
September 2, 2017 Mars Hill drops thrilling five-set contest Mars Hill dropped a thrilling five-set match (25-18, 19-25, 28-26, 27-29, 12-15) against King University to wrap up the Lincoln Memorial University Tournament Saturday afternoon.  Sally Anne Johnson matched her earlier output and headed the team with another eleven kills.
