Bio

Tomás Mejía Botero is a professional soccer coach and sporting director. He holds the CONMEBOL Pro License, the highest coaching qualification in South America, and has complemented this with a First-Class Honors degree in Football (soccer) Studies from the University of Bedfordshire in England, where he graduated at the top of his class.

He has worked with teams and institutions in the United States, Argentina, Colombia, and the United Kingdom. In 2024, At Limestone University, he served as a graduate assistant, opposition analyst and goalkeeper coach, contributing to the success of both the first team and the reserve side, guiding them to championships in the South Atlantic Conference and the Carolina Development League respectively.

Prior to that, he led youth teams at Banfield’s Scouting Center and the Municipalidad de Avellaneda in Argentina, achieving competitive results, including a league title with the Municipalidad de Avellaneda U16s. In Colombia, he supported Vencedores F.C. with coaching and analysis, and in the UK and Turkey, he gained valuable organizational and administrative experience while assisting in the delivery of international soccer tournaments.

Tomás has earned multiple certifications in leadership, academy management, game model creation, negotiation, and scouting among others.
