Men’s Swimming Defeats King
MARS HILL, N.C. - The Mars Hill men's swimming team defeated King, 185-56. The Lions improve to 3-0 overall this season and 15-0 all-time at Harrell Pool.
Ed Smith Blairsville, Ga.) won four events, including the 100 Yard Breaststroke, 200 Yard Breaststroke, 200 Yard Individual Medley and 200 Yard Medley Relay. Tyler Treadway (Pineville, La.) also won four events in the 200 Yard Fly, 100 Yard Fly, 200 Yard Medley Relay and 200 Yard Freestyle Relay.
Hudson Tucker (Brookwood, Ala.) and Sam Hartshorn (Asheville, N.C.) each won three events. Tucker won the 100 Yard Backstroke, 200 Yard Backstroke and 200 Yard Medley Relay. Hartshorn placed first in the 100 Yard Freestyle, 200 Yard Medley Relay and 200 Yard Freestyle Relay.
Luke Hoffman (Fort Wayne, Ind.) won the 500 Yard Freestyle and 200 Yard Freestyle Relay.
Audley Elder (Waynesville, N.C.) won the 1,000 Yard Freestyle. Trey McGraw (Beckley, W. Va.) placed first in the 200 Yard Freestyle.
The Lions will swim at Milligan on Friday. The dual meet will start at 6 p.m.
