Senicar Named ASC Swimmer of the Week
MARS HILL, N.C.-- Mars Hill's Mladen Senicar has been named the Appalachian Swim Conference Men's Swimmer of the Week, which was announced Wednesday.
MARS HILL, N.C.-- Mars Hill's Mladen Senicar has been named the Appalachian Swim Conference Men's Swimmer of the Week, which was announced Wednesday.
Senicar, a freshman from Novi Sad, Serbia, led the Lions as they opened up their season with a win against Catawba College. Senicar swam a 21.95 to win the 50 Freestyle, a 49.22 to finish second in the 100 Freestyle, and split a 21.03 on the anchor leg of the second place 200 Free Relay. This is the first Swimmer of the Week honor of the freshman's Lion career.
Mars Hill is 1-0 in dual meets this season. The Lions will swim a tri-meet with Lenoir-Rhyne and Warren Wilson on Oct. 11 in Hickory, N.C.
