Bio

Emiley Burriss joined the MHU softball coaching staff in summer of 2020 as a volunteer assistant coach. She was named Interim Head Coach in March of 2023.

Burriss, an alumna, was a catcher all four years on the Hill and led the team during the shortened 2020 campaign with four home runs and a .667 slugging percentage; both were career-highs.  She also set a career-high with a .303 batting average.

She graduated Cum Laude with a 3.68 GPA, obtaining her Bachelor of Fine Arts with a concentration in graphic design.  Burriss was recognized on the Dean's List five times while also being recognized on the SAC Commissioner's Honor Roll all four years.  During her senior season, Burriss served as an intern with the Mars Hill University Marketing and Design Department.
