Athletic Highlights: October 3, 2022 – October 9, 2022
Volleyball: Mars Hill downed both Tusculum (3-2) and Catawba (3-1) last week, pushing their record to 14-2 and remaining unbeaten in both the Mountain Division and inside Chambers Gymnasium. Sarah Goddard and Jana Cuk were named South Atlantic Conference Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week. Mars Hill hosts Anderson on Tuesday, October 11 and close out their four-game homestand on Friday, October 14 when they take on Newberry for Homecoming weekend.
Football: The Lions defeated Erskine on the road by a score of 33-13. Joraye Morrison ran for two scores while Jervon Newton added one score on a game-high 145 yards on the ground. Landon Honeycutt led the Lions with nine tackles. The Lions host Emory & Henry on Saturday, October 15 during Homecoming weekend.
Men's Soccer: Mars Hill was defeated by both Lincoln Memorial (1-0) and Wingate (2-1) this past week. David Straube scored the lone goal for Mars Hill. The Lions travel to Anderson on Tuesday, October 11 and return home on Friday, October 14 to take on Emory & Henry during Homecoming weekend. The contest versus the Wasps is also the Lions' Senior Day.

Men's Tennis: Mars Hill was felled by Lees-McRae by a score of 4-1. Jose Roa earned the lone Lions' victory on the day.
Women's Tennis: The Lions swept both matches Saturday afternoon, defeating Lees-McRae by a score of 4-2 and Young Harris by a score of 4-3.
