Lion Baseball - Update on Players in Summer Leagues
Mars Hill has 17 returning players currently competing in summer baseball leagues across the East Coast.
MARS HILL, N.C. – Mars Hill has 17 returning players currently competing in summer baseball leagues across the East Coast.
Head Baseball Coach Aaron Rembert stated, "I could not be more excited that our players are spending their summer investing in themselves and our program. Our program continues to get better every year and a big part of that is more of our guys are playing summer ball. Most of the guys have started within the past week or so and have enjoyed early success. It will be exciting to follow them throughout the summer. They get to improve on any weaknesses they have both offensively and defensively, continue to get stronger in the weight room and compete against good competition. I am a huge advocate for players to compete in summer baseball leagues due to the fact that they really get the feel of playing every night, not worrying about school, and getting a taste of what the pros go through. Our incoming guys are also playing American Legion or Showcase Baseball this summer and having tons of success so far. It is a really exciting time and I cannot wait to get started again in the fall."
