Taylor named to Honorable Mention All-America team

Mars Hill wide receiver Keshaun Taylor was selected to the 2017 D2Football.com Honorable Mention All-America team, as announced Friday morning.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Texas A&M-Commerce quarterback Luis Perez and Slippery Rock defensive lineman Marcus Martin highlight the 2017 D2Football.com All-America team. Perez, the Harlon Hill Trophy winner, was named the Offensive Player of the Year while Martin, the Gene Upshaw Award winner, was named the Defensive Player of the Year. For leading West Florida to the national championship game in only its second year of existance, Pete Schinnick was named the Coach of the Year.

Quarterfinalist West Alabama leads the way with the most selections - five. CSU-Pueblo, Shepherd, Minnesota State, and Central Washington each had four players selected to the team. A total of 62 programs had at least one player selected to the team.

As has been the case since its inception, the D2Football.com All-America team highlights the best 100 players to play in 2017. The team represents the top .5% of Division II athletes.
