Butler, Lions lead after round one of MHU Spring Invitational

FLETCHER, N.C. - The Mars Hill men's golf team sits in 1st place after day one of the Mars Hill University Spring Invitational at the Broadmoor Golf Links Monday afternoon.
Harry Butler sits atop the individual leaderboard after shooting a +1 round for the Mars Hill A-Team. Callum Ritchie is tied for second shooting +4 on the day. Luke Challis, Nicholas Boone and Stephen Thomasson rounded out the group's play with scores of +6, +9 and +11, respectively, all sitting in the top 20 players at the end of day one.
Mars Hill's B-Team was led by Christian Ethier who finished the round tied for sixth with a +5 round. Francesc Llinas and Hunter Morrison finished 16th and 17th overall on the day.
The Lions A-Team currently holds a one stroke lead over Pfeiffer University. Mars Hill's B-Team sits tied for fourth with Brevard.
