Men's Swimming Defeats Union College and Urbana University
BARBOURVILLE, KY. – The Mars Hill men’s swimming team swept a dual meet with Union College and Urbana University on Saturday, October 29.
BARBOURVILLE, KY. – The Mars Hill men's swimming team swept a dual meet with Union College and Urbana University on Saturday, October 29. The Lions bested Union by a score of 162-101, while they also down Urbana by a score of 182-62.
Vitor Goncalves came away with four victories for the Lions, winning the 50 free, 100 free, and the 400 medley relay as well as the 200 free relay. Erwin Ortiz captured three event wins on the afternoon, taking the 200 fly, 500 free, and was part of the 400 medley relay. Harrison Butler won the 100 back and was part of the 400 medley relay and 200 free relay teams that tallied wins. Matthew Walker won the 1650 free.
The Lions move to 3-1 on the season and will return to the pool on Friday, November 4, traveling to Milligan, Tenn. to take on Milligan and Warren Wilson. The meet is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.
