Track Teams Compete in Raleigh Relays, Washington Invitational on Friday
The Mars Hill track and field teams participated in the Raleigh Relays as well as the Washington University Invitational on Friday.
RALEIGH, N.C. - The Mars Hill track and field teams participated in the Raleigh Relays on Friday.
In the men's 5000 Meter Run, Alex Griggs crossed the finish line in fourth place in Section E with a time of 14:56.17. Griggs defeated runners from several NCAA Division I schools. Chase Shermer finished 52nd out of 115 runners in the college division of the men's 1500 Run with a time of 4:06.48.
Faith Trammell finished in 13th place in Section F of the women's 5000 Meter run with a time of 19:08.60.
Derek Gibson competed in the Washington University Invitational in St. Louis on Friday night. Gibson finished in 13th place with a time of 32.07.66
The Raleigh Relays wrap up today. In addition, Mars Hill will be competing in the Shorter Invitational on Saturday.
