Senior Derek Gibson has been named the Astroturf South Atlantic Conference Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week
Senior Derek Gibson has been named the Astroturf South Atlantic Conference Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week, league officials announced this afternoon.
Gibson won the Catawba Invitational in Mars Hill's season-opener on Friday, navigating the 8k course in 27:40. Mars Hill won the team title at the event, claiming six of the top eight positions.
Gibson and the Lions will compete in the Furman Invitational on Saturday morning.
