Weather Forces Postponement of Anderson Basketball Doubleheader
Mars Hill’s men’s and women’s basketball doubleheader at Anderson scheduled for tonight has been postponed. The contests have been rescheduled for Monday, Feb. 17 with the women’s game at 6 p.m. and the men’s game at 8 p.m.
MARS HILL, N.C. - Mars Hill's men's and women's basketball doubleheader at Anderson scheduled for tonight has been postponed. The contests have been rescheduled for Monday, Feb. 17 with the women's game at 6 p.m. and the men's game at 8 p.m. The games were originally scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 12, but were pushed back a day due to winter weather.
Mars Hill returns to action on Saturday afternoon in Stanford Arena against Queens with the women taking the court at 2 p.m. and the men at 4 p.m. Saturday is also the Lions' turn to take part in the Play 4Kay Initiative, featuring a silent auction, raffle and the opportunity to take a shot from half court at halftime of both the women's and men's game. Proceeds directly support women's breast cancer research through the Kay Yow Cancer Fund (KYCF). Fans are encouraged to wear pink to the game.
