Mars Hill downed by USC Upstate in exhibition

SPARTANBURG, S.C. - The Mars Hill women's basketball team (0-3) was downed by a score of 89-31 versus Division I opponent USC Upstate (3-1) Saturday evening.

De'Ja Marshall led the Lions with eight points followed by Tatum Boggs and Fajhenee Bradford, who each added four points apiece.  Marshall pulled down a game-high 10 rebounds.

Leading the way for the Spartans was Quadijah Moore, netting 23 points and going 10-of-11 from the floor.  Brianna Lewis added 19 points followed by Kathryn Kirkwood's 12 points.

The Lions open up their 2019-20 home schedule versus Bluefield State on Wednesday, November 20th.  Tipoff inside of Chambers Gymnasium is set for 6 p.m.
