Mars Hill excels at National University Championships
The Mars Hill women were named National Champions
COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Mars Hill weightlifting team competed at the National University Championships this past weekend, held in Columbus, Ohio.
The women's team placed first and were crowned national champions. They totaled 230 points, 45 more than second place finishers Lindenwood University and the University of Florida. The gap is the largest point difference won by a female team in USA Weightlifting history.
The men's team placed sixth overall with 92 points.
In the co-ed division, the Lions narrowly missed being named champions, falling to Lindenwood by just one point.
