Lions Have Strong Showing in 500 Freestyle at ASC Meet
Four Mars Hill women’s swimmers reached the finals of the 500 Yard Freestyle as the Lions began the 2015 Appalachian Swimming Conference championship meet on Thursday.
CHRISTIANSBURG, Va. - Four Mars Hill women's swimmers reached the finals of the 500 Yard Freestyle as the Lions began the 2015 Appalachian Swimming Conference championship meet on Thursday.
Abby Harty scored a fourth place finish with a time of 5:09.88, followed by Elle Grier in eighth place (5:18.56), Emma Duffy in 13th (5:28.43) and Maggie Norton in 16th (5:34.27).
In the 200 Freestyle Relay, Norton, Grier, Rachel Louviaux and Maggie Mills swam to a sixth place finish (1:43.70).
Mars Hill returns to action tomorrow at 9 a.m.
