Mars Hill opens SAC action versus Anderson
The Mars Hill women's tennis team (0-2, 0-1 SAC) was defeated by Anderson (2-0, 1-0 SAC) in their South Atlantic Conference home opener Saturday afternoon by a score of 7-0.
MARS HILL, N.C. - The Mars Hill women's tennis team (0-2, 0-1 SAC) was defeated by Anderson (2-0, 1-0 SAC) in their South Atlantic Conference home opener Saturday afternoon by a score of 7-0.
The Lions entered singles play down 1-0 after Anderson took all three doubles matches. Mpolokeng Aletta Macheli was able to force a third set in the fourth flight, but was unable to upend Megan Pleasant and fell 2-6, 6-4, 4-6. Maria Razzetta looked to take the first set versus Carrigan Blanchard, but dropped the tiebreaker and was ultimately downed in two sets.
Mars Hill returns to action on Thursday, February 25 when they face Lenoir-Rhyne on the road. First serve is set for 2 p.m.
