Hochstetler Named AstroTurf SAC Volleyball Player of the Week
ROCK HILL, S.C. – Outside hitter Lauren Hochstetler has been named the Astro Turf/SAC Women’s Volleyball Player of the Week as announced by the league today.
ROCK HILL, S.C. – Outside hitter Lauren Hochstetler has been named the Astro Turf/SAC Women's Volleyball Player of the Week as announced by the league today. Hochstetler led her team to a 3-0 week with wins over Tusculum at home, as well as Lenoir-Rhyne and Brevard on the road. This is her first award of the season.
Hochstetler, a junior from Sarasota, Fla., started her week with a seven kill and 12 dig effort against the Pioneers. From that point her numbers only proved better. On October 21 at L-R she turned in a double-double with 14 kills and 11 digs before coming out the very next day against Brevard with a monstrous 19 kill and 26 dig afternoon. On the season Hochstetler has compiled a team-high 197 kills and is second on the team with 267 digs.
The Lions will look to continue their hot streak as they play host to Lincoln Memorial tonight inside of Chambers Gymnasium. First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m.
