Randolph Named Offensive Player of the Year
MARS HILL, N.C. - Jonas Randolph headlines the 2011 All-Super Region Two Football Team as the offensive player of the year. He is joined on the squad by teammates Josh Crumpton, Tyler Hodgson, Kevin Johnson and Marvin James. All these players were first team All-SAC selections.

Randolph is a 5-10, 185-pound senior running back from Daleville, Ala. He is a Harlon Hill finalist, led Mars Hill to its first post season game since becoming NCAA Division II while re-writing the Lions' record books. He became the SAC career rushing leader with 5,508 yards. He led all NCAA divisions in rushing yards per game (197.27) and was the SAC Offensive Player of the Year. His 2,170 yards in 2011 also set a new SAC and school mark. He also had six games of 200 or more rushing yards and nine games of over 100 rushing yards. He is a three-time first team All-Super Region Two honoree.
Josh Crumpton is a 6-3, 245 pound senior tight end from Pickens, S.C. Crumpton had 20 catches in 2011 for 246 yards and two touchdowns. Tyler Hodgson is a 6-6, 275-pound offensive lineman. Hodgson was also a 2011 Capital One Academic All-District ® pick, selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America. Kevin Johnson was a 6-3, 215-pound defensive end from Valdosta, Ga. Johnson was sixth in the SAC in tackles (93). Johnson added 8.5 tackles-for-loss, four sacks, four pass break-ups and a forced fumble. Marvin James is a 5-9, 175 red-shirt freshman from Macon, Ga. He posted 35 tackles, two interceptions, nine pass break-ups and a recovered fumble.
Mars Hill finished the 2011 campaign 8-3 overall and 6-1 in the SAC that placed them first in the league.
