1993-94 SAC Basketball Champions Reunion
The Mars Hill men’s basketball team would like to invite all members of the 1993-1994 team to campus on Saturday, March 1 for a 20-year reunion in conjunction with the current team’s contest against Lenoir-Rhyne.
MARS HILL, N.C. - The Mars Hill men's basketball team would like to invite all members of the 1993-1994 team to campus on Saturday, March 1 for a 20-year reunion in conjunction with the current team's contest against Lenoir-Rhyne.
The 1993-1994 squad went 23-6 overall and 12-2 in the league, winning the South Atlantic Conference title and was the first team in program history to advance to the NCAA tournament under head coach and current Mars Hill Athletic Director David Riggins. The 1993-1994 team featured All-Region and SAC Player of the Year honoree Cedric Mansell. Lamont Jones joined Mansell on the All-SAC first team and Coach Riggins was tabbed the 1993-94 SAC Coach of the Year.
All former players and coaches are encouraged to attend.
