Lions open season at Charleston Invitational
The Mars Hill men's golf team placed eighth in their season opening tournament, the University of Charleston Invitational Tuesday afternoon.
CHARLESTON, W. Va. - The Mars Hill men's golf team placed eighth in their season opening tournament, the University of Charleston Invitational Tuesday afternoon.
Chase Cheatham was the top placing Lion, finishing 14th with a total score of 145. He shot a team-best 71 in the opening round.
John Moss placed 20th overall, shooting a team-best 71 on day two and ending the tournament with a total score of 146. Aiden Hyder finished with a total score of 152.
The duo of Kipp Hambrick and Gabe Gonzales rounded out the Lions' quintet by shooting 158 apiece.
The Lions finished the tournament with a combined score of 596.
