Plougmand named SAC Offensive Player of the Week
Mars Hill forward Peter Plougmand was named the South Atlantic Conference Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, as announced by the league Tuesday morning.
ROCK HILL, S.C. - Mars Hill forward Peter Plougmand was named the South Atlantic Conference Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, as announced by the league Tuesday morning.
Plougmand, a sophomore from Odense, Demark, led the Lions to a pair of season-opening victories last week with a 2-0 win over No. 14 Chowan and a 4-2 win over Lees-McRae. He scored a goal against Chowan and then found the back of the net twice with an assist versus Lees-McRae. He finished the week with three goals and an assist for seven points.

The Lions take on King on Wednesday, August 31 at 4 p.m. and open their home slate on Saturday, September 3 when they square off against North Greenville at 3:30 p.m. inside Meares Stadium.
