Mars Hill splits season series with Railsplitters

HARROGATE, Tenn. - The Mars Hill women's basketball team (1-12, 1-10 SAC) was defeated by a score of 91-47 versus Lincoln Memorial (7-5, 5-4 SAC) Saturday afternoon.
Lincoln Memorial carried a 48-26 lead into the half, shooting over 62 percent from the floor. The Lions, in a more evenly played third quarter, outscored LMU 12-10 with Hannah Barr recording seven points and collecting four rebounds. The Railsplitters answered back in the fourth, outscoring the Lions 33-9.
The Railsplitters shot nearly 56 percent from beyond the arc, hitting 20-of-36 attempts on the day. Lindsay Proffitt hit seven and ended the day with 25 points as she went 9-for-11 on the day. Irelynn Davisson also went 7-of-9 from beyond the arc and went 10-of-12 overall, recording a game-high 27 points.
