Baker places second, MHU fourth at Pfeiffer Spring Invitational
The Mars Hill women's golf team placed fourth at the Pfeiffer Spring Invitational that wrapped up Tuesday afternoon.
OCEAN ISLE BEACH, N.C. - The Mars Hill women's golf team placed fourth at the Pfeiffer Spring Invitational that wrapped up Tuesday afternoon.
Chelsea Baker placed second overall, medalling with a total combined score of 154. In round one, she shot an 83, but in round two, she shot a 71, one-under par. It was the only round over the two-day event that was under par.
Laycee Hoffman placed 18th overall with a combined score of 172 while Caroline Rizzo placed 28th overall with a combined 177.
Finishing just two strokes behind Rizzo was Samantha Reeves with a combined 179. Rounding out the Lions squad was Leann Crotts, placing 43rd overall with a combined 186.
The Lions shot a combined 682 over the two-day tournament.
