Mars Hill places first at Pioneer's Invitational
Jenna Delmarsh and Gracie Campbell named to All-Tournament team.
GAFFNEY, S.C. - The Mars Hill women's golf team won the Pioneer's Invitational by 50 strokes Tuesday afternoon, closing out the two-day tournament held at Cherokee National Golf Club in Gaffney, South Carolina.
The tournament was hosted by Spartanburg Methodist College.
As a team, the Lions shot +149, 50 shots less than Spartanburg Methodist's team.
Jenna Delmarsh led the Lions, placing second overall, shooting 29-over, seven strokes off of first. Five strokes behind and tying for third was Gracie Campbell. Both Lions were named to the All-Conference team.
Calla Varner turned in a sixth place finish, shooting 39-over. Rounding out the Lions' group was Caroline Tucker and Kyrstin Schilens, tying for eighth place.

The Lions hit the links again on Monday, March 9 when they partake in the SSU Tiger Invitational, hosted by Savannah State University at Crosswinds Golf Club.
