Women’s Soccer Loses to #9 Lenoir-Rhyne
HICKORY, N.C. - The Lions lost to the ninth ranked Lenoir-Rhyne University Bears Wednesday evening in South Atlantic Conference women's soccer action, 7-0. Mars Hill fell to 6-7-1 overall and 2-5 in the SAC. The Bears improved to 11-1 on the season and 6-0 in the league.
The Bears scored four goals in the first half and three goals in the final period. MHC played three goalies in the match. Chelsea Parker played the first 30:55 and made three saves. Becca Sellars played the next 40:45 and made six saves and Corrine Roberts played the final 18:20 and made one save. Caitlin Scruggs played all 90 minutes in the net for L-R and made five saves.
Mars Hill will host Limestone on October 18. Match time is set for a 7 p.m. start.
