Women's Swimming Places Five on All-Conference Team
MARS HILL, N.C. – The Mars Hill women’s swim team has placed five members of the team on the 2016 Appalachian Swim Conference All-Conference Team.
MARS HILL, N.C. – The Mars Hill women's swim team has placed five members of the team on the 2016 Appalachian Swim Conference All-Conference Team. Abby Harty, Elle Grier, Rachel Nichols, and Kathryn Boland found themselves on the prestigious list. JJ Washshah was named as an Honorable Mention for this season.
Harty had a very impressive year as she was able to turn in great results, including third in the 200 free, fifth in the 500 free, and eighth in the 200 breast.
Grier, finishing out her senior campaign for the Lions set a school record in the 1650 free while placing third in that particular meet as well as a couple eighth place finishes in the 500 free and 200 back.
Nichols collected a fourth place finish in the 100 butterfly and 11th in the 100 free, while Boland tallied a fourth, seventh, and sixth place finish in the 200 IM, 100 breast, and 200 breast, respectively.
Washshah was named honorable mention in her first season with the Lions.
