Women's Swimming Picks Up Pair of Wins Against Union and Urbana
BARBOURVILLE, KY. – The Mars Hill women’s swim team swept a dual meet with Union College and Urbana University on Saturday, October 29.
BARBOURVILLE, KY. – The Mars Hill women's swim team swept a dual meet with Union College and Urbana University on Saturday, October 29. The Lions defeated Union 145-96 before taking down Urbana 146-92.
Abby Harty and Kathryn Boland came away with four victories each for the Lions. Harty won the 1650 free, 500 free, 200 free, and was part of the 400 medley relay, while Boland won the 100 breast, 200 breast, 200 IM and the 400 medley relay. Salliemae Blethroad and Rachel Nichols were also part of the winning 400 medley relay.
The Lions move to 3-1 on the season and will return to the pool on Friday, November 4, traveling to Milligan, Tenn. to take on Milligan and Warren Wilson. The meet is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.
