Mackey advances to Round of 16 at ITA Southeast Regional Championships
Mars Hill's Elana Mackey has advanced to the Round of 16 at the 2022 Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Southeast Regional Championships after Saturday's victory.
SUMTER, S.C. - Mars Hill's Elana Mackey has advanced to the Round of 16 at the 2022 Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Southeast Regional Championships after Saturday's victory.
Mackey defeated Ami Miya of Catawba on Friday afternoon in three sets, 7-5, 1-6, 6-1 and later in the evening, defeated the 16-seed Sofia Cardenas, from Newberry, in three, 6-0, 6-7, 7-5.
Saturday afternoon, Mackey defeated the 32-seed in Yelena Labat from Columbus State in straight sets, 6-2, 6-3.
Mackey returns to the court on Sunday, September 25 at 12 p.m. when she takes on the 6-seeded Dana Heimen.
