Mars Hill racks up personal bests at Southside Power and Fitness Invite
The Mars Hill women's track & field team competed in the Southside Power and Fitness Invite hosted by Lenoir-Rhyne University.
HICKORY, N.C. - The Mars Hill women's track & field team competed in the Southside Power and Fitness Invite hosted by Lenoir-Rhyne University.
Bailey Beeman competed in three events on the day. She placed third in the long jump with a personal best jump of 4.25m. She competed in the discus for the first time in her collegiate career, placing sixth overall with a mark of 23.92m. She rounded out the day with a personal best throw of 7.89m in the shot put.
Megan Van Etten ran a personal best 5:58.02 in the 1500m, placing sixth overall.
Kylie Johnson finished the day with personal best runs in the 100 and the 200 meter. Kylie placed second in the 100 with a time of 12.97 and fourth in the 200 with a time of 27.04.
Elana Mackey ran a strong, season best 2:34.3 in the 800m, placing second overall.
