Women's Cross Country Ranked 10th in USTFCCCA Preseason Regional Rankings
The Mars Hill women’s cross country team has been ranked 10th in the initial USTFCCCA preseason Regional Rankings
NEW ORLEANS, La.- The Mars Hill women's cross country team has been ranked 10th in the initial United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches' Association (USTFCCCA) preseason Regional Rankings, the organization announced yesterday.
In 2014, the Lions finished in seventh place at the Southeast Regional meet, with 2014 MHU graduate Jessica Viscusi qualifying for the NCAA National meet. Mars Hill finished in sixth place at the 2014 South Atlantic Conference championship and was picked to finish in sixth place in the league this season in a preseason coaches' poll that was released last week.
The Lions begin the 2015 season on Friday at the Covered Bridge Open hosted by Appalachian State.
