Fitzpatrick named SAC Defensive Player of the Week
Junior linebacker Dexter Fitzpatrick was named the South Atlantic Conference Defensive Player of the Week, as announced by the league Monday morning.
ROCK HILL, S.C. - Junior linebacker Dexter Fitzpatrick was named the South Atlantic Conference Defensive Player of the Week, as announced by the league Monday morning.
Fitzpatrick, a native of LaGrange, Ga., led the Lions to a 50-14 win over Virginia-Lynchburg last week. He was a force on defense making 11 total tackles, including three solo tackles. Fitzpatrick also had three sacks and three tackles for loss, accounting for 28 yards in his season debut.

Mars Hill opens SAC play on Saturday, September 18 when they host the UVA Wise Cavaliers. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
