MARS HILL, N.C. - The Mars Hill men's lacrosse team (1-5) was defeated by Lees-McRae (4-5) by a score of 19-9 Saturday afternoon.
The Bobcats put up 10 goals in the first quarter with Matthias Oslund, Cole Morris, and Cayden Onagi each recording two goals.
The Lions, in the second, outscored Lees-McRae 4-1 with two goals coming from the stick of Luke Moore. Moore added an assist on Aiden McNamara's goal with 3:29 left in the half. Dillon Buran collected a goal and an assist in the frame.
In the second half, the Lions were outscored 8-4, with three of their goals coming from Jake Mannix. Caleb Nelson netted the fourth Lions' tally.
Morris (3G, 2A) along with Onagi (2G, 3A) led all players with five points. Mannix led the Lions with four points (3G, 1A) while Moore (2G, 1A) and Buran (1G, 2A) added three apiece.
Mars Hill takes to the road on Saturday, March 14 when they face Newberry. Faceoff is set for 4 p.m.
