Men's Track Picked to Finish Second in SAC
The Mars Hill men’s track team was picked to finish in second place in the South Atlantic Conference men’s outdoor track & field preseason coaches’ poll
ROCK HILL, S.C. - The Mars Hill men's track team was picked to finish in second place in the South Atlantic Conference men's outdoor track & field preseason coaches' poll, the league announced today.
The Lions recorded 57 points, one ahead of third place Queens. Mars Hill finished in third place at the inaugural South Atlantic Conference championship last spring with four student-athletes claiming wins. During the 2014-15 indoor season, several school records were set in sprint and distance events.
Defending outdoor track champion Wingate was the top pick with 66 points, followed by Mars Hill and Queens.
Mars Hill travels to the state capital this weekend for the Raleigh Relays hosted by NC State University.
