Mars Hill competes at L-R Bears Open
The Mars Hill men's outdoor track and field team partook in the L-R Bears Open Sunday afternoon.
HICKORY, N.C. - The Mars Hill men's outdoor track and field team partook in the L-R Bears Open Sunday afternoon.
In the high jump, Levi Higgins placed fifth overall with a height of 1.90 meters. Tyler Holloway placed sixth overall in the shot put with a distance of 13.12 meters.
Lee Prescott placed 12th overall in the hammer throw, recording a distance of 33.25 meters. Holloway and RaQuan Coles also threw in the event, posting distances of 22.56 meters and 20.10 meters, respectively.
Ben Goodlett placed 15th in the discus with a mark of 31.52 meters. Coles posted a distance of 27.37 meters. Goodlett, in the javelin, placed seventh with a distance of 42.85 meters.
In the 800 meter run, Brad Barbee placed 17th with a time of 2:16.48. Matthew Tingle, in the 1500 meter run, placed 19th with a time of 4:17.42. In the 5000 meter run, Hunter Snyder placed 14th.
Jackson McClain finished 14th in the 100 meter dash, turning in a time of 11.37. CaRon Duncan finshed 22nd overall. In the 400 meter dash, David Elkins placed seventh overall with a time of 51.91. Elijah Swain turned in a time of 53.80 for an 11th place finish.
