Cornett named SAC WePlayed Sports Pitcher of the Week
Cornett went 3-0 in her three starts.
ROCK HILL, S.C. - Mars Hill softball's Téa Cornett was named the South Atlantic Conference WePlayed Sports Pitcher of the Week, as announced by the league Tuesday afternoon.
Cornett, a freshman from Mannassas, Va., went a perfect 3-0 for Mars Hill and threw three complete games. For the week, she tossed 27.2 innings and allowed just six earned runs to produce a 1.52 ERA to go with a 1.12 WHIP. In wins over Lander and Georgia College, she threw 14 innings and allowed just three earned runs to win both games before coming back to toss a complete game shutout of Middle Georgia.
