The Mars Hill women’s tennis team swept doubles competition en route to a 7-2 victory over Brevard
BREVARD, N.C. - The Mars Hill women's tennis team swept doubles competition en route to a 7-2 victory over Brevard on Saturday. Mars Hill improves to 4-6 overall and 1-4 in the South Atlantic Conference while Brevard drops to 1-6 and 0-3.
Jasha Geerdink and Lucy McLaurin were 8-5 winners over Katie Daugherty and Jule Hermann on the top doubles court, with Jade Henke and Juliana Fisher also picking up an 8-5 victory on the second doubles court over Nirvanna Silva and Anita Maryskova. Natalie Hilbig and Luz Heilman won by forfeit at number three doubles.
McLaurin was an 8-5 victor over Hermann at number two singles, with Henke defeating Maryskova 8-2 at number four singles. Hilbig and Heilman won by default at number five and six singles.
Mars Hill will travel to Catawba on March 25.
