Lions compete at Flat is Fast Invite
The Mars Hill indoor track and field teams competed at the Flat is Fast Invite hosted by JDL Fast Track.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Mars Hill indoor track and field teams competed at the Flat is Fast Invite hosted by JDL Fast Track. The meet boasted over 900 collegiate athletes from around the southeast region.
On the women's side, Alina Mueller placed 16th in the 60m hurdles with a season-best time of 10.21. Elana Mackey ran a season-best 2:38.94 in the 800m run, placing 23rd overall. Mueller finished just behind Mackey with a season-best 2:40.58, 10 seconds faster than her previous 800 time.
Bailey Beeman threw a new personal-best of 8.22m in the shot put. Beeman placed 31st on the day.

On the men's side, sophomore Jackson McClain competed in the 60m open, winning his heat, and running an overall 17th place time of 7.32. Freshman Brandon Bailes competed in the 60m dash as well, placing second in his heat with a time of 7.54.
Senior Benjamin Goodlett placed 11th in the shot put with a throw of 13.00m while freshman Aston Gainey threw a personal best 10.14m in the same event.
Levi Higgins competed against a very competitive field of high jumpers and placed fifth on the day with a jump of 1.88m.
