Lions wrap up Trojan Opener
The Mars Hill men's and women's track & field teams traveled to Anderson University this weekend to compete in the Trojan Opener.
ANDERSON, S.C. - The Mars Hill men's and women's track & field teams traveled to Anderson University this weekend to compete in the Trojan Opener.
MEN'S RESULTS:
Ben Goodlett kicked things off for the men with a third place throw of 12.41m in men's shot put.
Lee Prescott finished sixth in shot put with a throw of 12.14m. Prescott placed sixth in the discus with a throw of 38.1m. RaQuan Coles competed in discus as well, throwing a new personal best 30.53m.
Levi Higgins placed third in men's High Jump, jumping 1.9m on the day.
Jackson McClain placed 12th in the 100m, finishing with a personal best time of 11.03 seconds.
Brandon Bailes ran a new personal best 23.34s in the open 200m, placing 28th overall.
WOMEN'S RESULTS:
Bailey Beeman placed 10th in women's shot put with the throw of 8.4m. Mykenzy Peck placed 13th with a throw of 7.13m. Chandler Adam's competed in her first ever track meet throwing shot put. Adams placed 14th with a throw of 7.05m.
Natalea Hill competed in her first collegiate track event. Hill placed 11th in women's long with a jump of 4.2m
La'Miya Blake placed ninth in the 100m hurdles, finishing in a time of 18.61s.
Alina Mueller placed 24th in the women's 200, finishing in a time of 28.24s.
Elida Taylor competed in her first ever track meet, participating in the 200m. Elida placed 25th with a time of 28.3s.
Makayla Rogers ran a new personal best 29.13s in the 200.
