Viscusi Earns 88th Place Finish at NCAA Championship
Jessica Viscusi finished in 88th place out of 249 runners at the 2014 NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships
LOUISVILLE, Ky.- Jessica Viscusi finished in 88th place out of 249 runners at the 2014 NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships at E.P. "Tom" Sawyer Park on Saturday.
Viscusi crossed the finish line with a time of 22:44.8 in the 5.78 kilometer race. The distance was shortened from 6 kilometers due to extremely wet conditions. Viscusi improved upon her 2013 nationals finishing position by 37 positions after a 125th place result a year ago.
The National Championship result caps a spectacular senior season for Viscusi, one in which she earned USTFCCCA All-Region honors, SAC Scholar-Athlete of the Year honors, All-SAC First Team honors and the AstroTurf SAC Runner of the Week Award three times.
