Mitchell Named AstroTurf Men's Soccer Player of the Week
Mars Hill junior goalkeeper Chris Mitchell has been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Men’s Soccer Player of the Week,
ROCK HILL, S.C.- Mars Hill junior goalkeeper Chris Mitchell has been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Men's Soccer Player of the Week, the league announced Monday. It is Mitchell's first Player of the Week selection in his Lion career.
Mitchell made 11 saves in Mars Hill's 2-1 victory over No. 20 Lincoln Memorial on Wednesday. On Saturday, the Creedmoor, N.C. native made two saves in a 1-0 Lion win at Anderson for his second shutout of 2014. In 15 career starts, Mitchell has seven shutouts.
Mars Hill returns to action on Saturday night at Wingate.
