Lions downed in non-conference play versus Belmont Abbey

BELMONT, N.C. - The Mars Hill men's tennis team (5-4) was swept 7-0 in non-conference play against Belmont Abbey Tuesday afternoon on the road.
The Lions dropped two of three doubles matches with the lone win coming from the duo of Fernando Neto and Kyrel Trim. In singles action, Ben Reid was able to force a three-set match by winning the second frame, 7-5, but ultimately fell in the third set.
Mars Hill returns to the Hart Tennis Complex on Saturday, February 9th when they host Pfeiffer. The action is slated for a 1 p.m. start.
