Mars Hill opens season at King Invite
The Mars Hill women's swim team opened their 2021-22 season at the King Invite, placing 10th at the end of the two-day meet.
BRISTOL, Tenn. - The Mars Hill women's swim team opened their 2021-22 season at the King Invite, placing 10th at the end of the two-day meet.
Elena Massa placed 12th in the 500 yard freestyle with a time of 5:31.31. Massa finished 17th in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 2:06.41.
In her collegiate debut, Sarah Ellen Johnson placed 18th in the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:14.68. Johnson, in the 200 yard breaststroke, placed 15th while Ellie McLain finished 17th.
McLain, in the 100 yard breaststroke, finished 22nd with a time of 1:17.83. Rylie Noe swam a time of 1:04.33 in the 100 yard backstroke, placing 14th overall. In the 1650 yard freestyle, Maggie Anders placed 13th overall with a time of 19:35.69.
In the 200 yard butterfly, Brianna Broussard placed 13th overall with a time of 2:26.38.
Mars Hill accumulated 55 points over the three sessions.

Mars Hill returns to the pool on Friday, October 8 when they host Lenoir-Rhyne and UNC Pembroke. The meet will begin at 6 p.m. inside Harrell Pool.
