Mars Hill finishes seventh at BMC Championships
The Mars Hill women's swim team placed seventh at the conclusion of the Bluegrass Mountain Conference Championships.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Mars Hill women's swim team placed seventh at the conclusion of the Bluegrass Mountain Conference Championships.
Day 1:
Rylie Noe, Ellie McLain, Brianna Broussard, and Elsbeth Roper competed in the 200 yard medley freestyle, placing seventh with a time of 1:55.68.
Sydney Hnatuk completed the 1000 yard freestyle with a time of 11:42.21.
The relay team consisting of Roper, Elena Massa, Sydney Gearhart, and Sarah Ellen Johnson placed fifth in the 200 yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:41.58.
Mars Hill placed seventh on the day.
Day 2:
Broussard competed in the 100 yard butterfly with a time of 1:00.85.
Johnson swam in the 400 yard IM with a time of 4:51.64.
Massa swam in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 1:58.58.
Noe, Johnson, Broussard, and Gearhart placed sixth in the 400 yard medley relay with a time of 4:10.70.
The Lions advanced to sixth place after day two.
Day 3:
Noe competed in the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 1:01.80, and Gearhart with a time of 1:04.40.
In the 100 yard breaststroke, Johnson finished with a time of 1:11.55 and Roper swam a time of 1:13.07.
The Lions sat in seventh after the penultimate day.
Day 4:
Noe, McLain, Broussard, and Roper competed in the 200 yard medley with a finishing time of 1:55.68.
Hnatuk swam in the 1000 yard freestyle with a time of 11:42.21, and Maggie Anders with a time of 12:01.85.
Mars Hill ended the championship in seventh place.
