Montgomery, Women's Team Earn USTFCCCA All-Academic Honors
Rising junior Alexis Montgomery has been named to the 2014 U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Division II All-Academic individual team. Additionally, the Mars Hill women’s track team has earned USTFCCA All-Academic team honors
NEW ORLEANS- Rising junior Alexis Montgomery has been named to the 2014 U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Division II All-Academic individual team. Additionally, the Mars Hill women's track team has earned USTFCCA All-Academic team honors.
Montgomery, the 2014 South Atlantic Conference Women's Track Athlete of the Year, is an Athletic Training major with a 3.76 GPA. Montgomery set several indoor and outdoor track school records and was named the 2013-14 Mars Hill Female Athlete of the Year. In order to be eligible for USTFCCCA All-Academic honors, a student-athlete has to have a 3.25 cumulative grade point average and have reached a provisional or automatic qualifying standard in either indoor or outdoor seasons.
The women's track team earned All-Academic team honors with a team cumulative grade point average of 3.34. A team had to have a 3.0 cumulative grade point average to be eligible.
