Men’s Soccer national rankings in NCAA statistics
MARS HILL, N.C. - Mars Hill ranks fifth in the nation in scoring offense, according to the latest NCAA National Rankings Summary. The Lions (9-4, 5-2 SAC) also rank 10th in total goals.
Mars Hill averages 2.69 goals per game. UNC Pembroke leads the country with 3.0 goals per game. The Lions have scored 35 goals through 13 games. Colorado Mines and Wilmington (Del.) have each scored 41 this season.
Defensively, Mars Hill is sixth nationally in save percentage with a mark of .855. Fort Lewis tops the country at .904. The Lions are ranked 17th in team goals against average, allowing only .77 per match. Fort Lewis is first at .33.
Zac Scott ranks 13th in save percentage (.844) and 20th in goals against average (.787). Ryan Wirth of Fort Lewis leads the country in both categories with marks of .904 and .333, respectively.
Mars Hill hosts Carson-Newman on Wednesday. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m.
