Elder named to NCAA DII Men's & Women's Swimming and Diving National Committee
Mars Hill Assistant Athletic Director, Senior Woman Administrator, and Director of Compliance, Elle Elder, was recently named to the NCAA Division II Men's & Women's Swimming and Diving National Committee.
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Mars Hill Assistant Athletic Director, Senior Woman Administrator, and Director of Compliance, Elle Elder, was recently named to the NCAA Division II Men's & Women's Swimming and Diving National Committee.
The term will run for four years, ending in August of 2027.
The role of the committee is to develop policies and procedures governing the administration and conduct of the Division II Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Championships.
Each committee member should have a working knowledge of the sports of swimming and diving with specific reference to rules, meet management, qualifying standards and the selection process.
Division II committee members have the following duties:
1. Determine future host institutions and sites of the championships.
2. Participate on regularly scheduled monthly committee videoconferences (September–April).
3. Select male and female swimming and diving participants to the championships (March).
4. Attend and oversee the Division II Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Championships (March: Monday–Sunday).
5. Attend the annual committee meeting in Indianapolis (April) or participate via videoconference.
6. Assist in revising and updating the championships manuals and other materials as needed.
