FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga. - The Mars Hill baseball team (3-10) was defeated by Emmanuel (6-9) by a score of 16-6 in seven innings Tuesday afternoon.
Emmanuel pulled away in the middle frames, combining for nine runs in the third and fourth innings, leading 12-1 after four. In the top of the sixth, the Lions potted four runs, highlighted by Alejandro Aguilar's two-run double.
Aidan Feather led all players with five RBI followed by four from Reece Kingeter.
Aguilar and Peyton Starkey led the Lions with two hits apiece while Aguilar and Zachary Cimino led the team with two RBI aside.
The Lions return to the diamond on Wednesday, February 25 on the road versus King. First pitch is set for 2 p.m.
