Pastrana named SAC Player of the Week
ROCK HILL, S.C. - Junior outfielder Yeriel Pastrana was named the WePlayed Sports South Atlantic Conference Baseball Player of the Week, as announced by the league Tuesday morning.
Pastrana, a native of San Juan, Puerto Rico, led Mars Hill to a sweep of Emory & Henry and a program-record 18th conference win for the Lions. In the three game set, he went 8-for-11 (.727 average) and scored four runs while accounting for two doubles, a home run and nine runs driven in. He added a pair of stolen bases and got on base at a .750 clip.
The Lions close out their regular season this weekend with a three-game series versus Newberry, beginning Friday afternoon at Henderson Field at 2 p.m.
