MARS HILL, N.C. - The Mars Hill women's basketball team (2-1) routed Clinton College (0-1) by a score of 100-63 Monday night inside Chambers Gymnasium.
Seven players scored in double-digits with Stella McIntyre's 15 leading the way. Jadein Haynes added 14 off the bench while the duo of Felesia Ondongo and Jadyiah Peoples each added 13. Makayla Street and Adrianna Gullette scored 11 aside while Kindan Dawson ended the night with 10 points.
The Lions' defense was relentless, creating 43 turnovers and picking up 29 steals. McIntyre also led the team in that category with six. Peoples and Haynes led Mars Hill with seven rebounds apiece while Dawson led the squad with four assists.
Mars Hill returns to action on Wednesday, November 19 when they host Virginia-Lynchburg. Tipoff inside Chambers Gymnasium is set for 5:30 p.m.
